EMPLOYMENT LAW MODULE

Introductory Level One:

This course takes you through what you need to know if you are starting in an employment law practice or maybe working in-house. Employment law is a dynamic

subject and having a practice in this area is stimulating and challenging. It is also hard but rewarding work. This course does not deal with the substantive law around employment but rather the practical side of working in an employment team. It looks at both sides of tribunal process ie from both the Claimant’s view and the Respondent’s view as you could be in a position where you represent either. If you work in-house, you will almost certainly only be representing the Respondent.

All terms are explained within the course and the procedures are set out in a logical way. The course contains sample documents of the kind you are likely to come across and an explanation of their purpose. Candidates undertaking Introduction to Employment Law will gain a sound practical familiarity with the procedures and documentation involved in taking a case to Employment Tribunal. This course presumes only that the Non-Legal/College Leaver/ Student/Post Graduate, has attained some knowledge of keyboard/office/admin/secretarial skills.
